The Tracklist

My Fake Love — rear album cover. A stage-left corridor: Ted stands with his back to us facing a mirror in a dressing room, framed tracklists on either wall. Left: Side A Curtain Up, Side B The Second Act. Right: Side C Stage Door, Side D After The Applause. Trunks marked C.B.T., a lantern on the boards, a guitar case leaning to the right.

The Driver, Backstage

Ted — CannaBusTeD

Ted. John Small to the taxman, CannaBusTeD on the marquee. A registered-blind songwriter from Hartlepool who drove a night bus through his own head for one album — and parked it outside this theatre for the second.

He can't see the stage. That's why nothing on it is for show. The songs out front are love the way it's performed; the songs backstage are what it costs when the curtain's down. Same heart. Two shows.

Made with human direction, machine assistance, and hand-finished intent.
